How to use bone broth
Bone broth can be enjoyed in a few different ways:
- Sipping it Straight: Heat up the broth and enjoy it like a warm beverage. You can add some chopped herbs, a squeeze of lemon, or a drizzle of olive oil for extra flavour.
- In Soups and Stews: Use bone broth instead of water or store-bought broth to add a richer, deeper flavour to your favourite soups and stews.
- Cooking Grains and Pasta: Swap water for bone broth when cooking rice, quinoa, or pasta. This adds a subtle savoury flavour and extra nutrients.
- Sauteing Vegetables: Use a small amount of bone broth instead of oil to saute vegetables for a more flavorful base.
- Mashed Vegetables: Instead of water or milk, use bone broth when making mashed potatoes, cauliflower mash, or other mashed root vegetables.
- Flavour Boost: Add a splash of bone broth to casseroles, stir-fries, or any savoury dish for an extra depth of flavour.
- Frozen for Later: Freeze leftover bone broth in ice cube trays. These cubes can be easily added to future meals for a quick flavour and nutrient boost.
